BARI Secure File Sharing Service & File Portal

A secure, authenticated, and highly available file sharing portal developed for Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute. Built for research collaboration with cross-platform support and enterprise-grade security.

Cross-Cluster High Availability Role-Based Access Control SSL/TLS & Server Encryption

Project Summary

This platform replaces insecure file transfer methods with a modern, secure portal that enforces authentication and authorization. Only authorised users can access or modify files. The system supports cross-platform access and global remote connectivity for verified users.

Hosted on BARI-owned servers with cross-cluster redundancy, the service ensures high availability and consistent transfer speeds even if a server or cluster goes offline. Admins can manage permissions, view audit logs, and enforce security policies from a central dashboard.

Security

SSL/TLS for transport, server-side encryption at rest, role-based access control, strong password policies, and intrusion detection systems.

Reliability

Cross-cluster replication, load balancing, automatic failover, and scheduled backups for disaster recovery.

Highlights
  • Role-based access: Admin, Researcher, Staff, External Collaborator
  • Version control and audit trail for compliance
